Words With Friends Anagram Solver

An anagram solver takes a fixed set of letters and rearranges them into every valid word those letters can form, using each tile exactly once (or fewer, if you don't need them all). It's the fastest way to solve a full rack in one go rather than guessing combinations by hand.

This differs slightly from a general word finder in that it's optimized for the classic 'rearrange these letters' problem, which is exactly the situation you're in when a fresh set of WWF tiles doesn't suggest an obvious word at a glance.

01

When an anagram solver beats scanning by eye

Racks with several similar-sounding letters, like AEELNTV or IORSTUV, are notoriously hard to unscramble by eye because your brain keeps defaulting to the same one or two words. Running the exact letters through a solver surfaces options you'd otherwise miss, such as VALENT or LEVANT from the first example.

The solver also handles partial racks, so if you only want to use 5 of your 7 tiles to keep good letters in reserve, you can still find valid shorter words from that subset.

02

Blanks and duplicate letters

If your rack includes a blank tile, enter a wildcard character and the solver will try it as every letter of the alphabet to find additional matches. Duplicate letters, like two E's or two O's, are handled automatically — the solver only forms words that respect how many of each letter you actually have.
