Wordle Solver & Word Game Tools

For each guess you've made, mark every letter as grey, yellow, or green. Grey means the letter isn't in the answer at all (unless it appears elsewhere in your guess with a different result — more on duplicates below). Yellow means the letter is in the answer but not in that position. Green means you've found the letter's correct position.

The solver then filters the full list of valid 5-letter words down to only those consistent with every clue you've entered, so you can see your remaining options at a glance instead of mentally cross-referencing multiple guesses.

If your guess contains a repeated letter, like the two O's in ROBOT, Wordle's coloring follows specific rules: it colors as many instances green or yellow as actually appear in the answer, and marks any extra copies grey. For example, if the answer is ROAST and you guess ROBOT, you'd see the first O as green, but the second O would show as grey since there's only one O in the answer.

Always re-check duplicate letters carefully before trusting a solver result, since a misread grey/yellow on a repeated letter is the most common source of solver mistakes.
